McKesson Canada’s core business, which makes up the largest component of our company, is McKesson Pharmaceutical. This business unit buys health care supplies from manufacturers, stocks these products in our distribution centers and sells them to pharmacies-retailers, hospitals and buying groups-across Canada. McKesson Canada has two types of distribution centers; full-line and specialized. Calgary has a specialized distribution facility carrying pharmaceuticals and over the counter products. We distribute to a wide range of retail and hospital pharmacies located through out Western Canada. The Regional Office for Western Canada is also located in Calgary Distribution Center. Our regional team has approximately 70 employees servicing Western Canada in Finance, Private Label, IT, Human Resources and Customer Service.
