| H.E.T.-JOURNEYMAN POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for performing standard assembly procedures, reworks, and repairs on manufactured equipment and products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Assemble standard equipment and products under general supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures. • Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards. • Confer with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems. • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. • Mentor and assist apprentices on mechanical procedures and techniques. Assist apprentices in resolving technical problems. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; must have an Alberta Journeyman ticket, and four years’ related experience. • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. • Ability to communicate effectively with others using both verbal and written. • Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures. • Ability to meet or exceed daily workload requirements. • Ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work. • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal. SKILLS & ABILITIES COMPUTER SKILLS Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required CERTIFICATES & LICENSES Must have an Alberta Journeyman ticket. CVIP License is an asset. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in an assembly environment is required. Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics are required, and the ability to safely operate overhead cranes.
