Legal Assistant - Litigation

Responsibilities
•Maintain, organize, and summarize all files and documents
•Manage calendar for lawyers and other staff as required
•Communicate with clients through correspondence, email or over the phone
•Review documents, compile information, and report on status
•Draft documents and organize documents for files
•Coordinate large closing documents, searches, status reports and other matters for transactions
•Assist lawyer as necessary on documents and files
•Liaise with clients, lawyers and other staff
•Provide administrative support to lawyers and other staff as necessary
Qualifications
•Five or more years relevant experience in litigation law
•Ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative as required
•Knowledge of legal procedures, statutes and regulations applicable to Litigation Law
•Very knowledgeable with MS Office and excellent keyboarding skills
•Extremely organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills
