| Safety Counselor Position Profile: This is a challenging role, requiring a great deal of motivation and initiative offering you the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a leading transportation company. Our Safety Counselor works closely with both company drivers and owner operators to ensure the goals of the Safety Department and the Company are met. The Safety Counselor builds and maintains solid working relationships with our drivers. This includes coaching on performance, policies and procedures, as well as working with our drivers on an individual basis to develop a goal driven action plan. Our Safety Counselor will work in conjunction with the Driver Development Team in continuing to develop the skill set of our Western Fleet through delivering the Driver Skills Development curriculum. Candidate Profile: You are a leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills wanting to have a direct impact on the continued growth and success of the company. You thrive in and are looking for a fast paced, multi-tasking environment. You will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and strengthen relationships. Demonstrated experience in counseling on regulatory issues, accident investigation as well as your experience and/or education as an adult educator will be key to success in this position. | |
