| Preboard Screening Officer Duties are but not limited to the following & we WILL TRAIN; Perform security checks of the traveling public using X-ray and metal detection devices Meet and greet passengers in a friendly, firm, and fair manner Enforce regulations of establishments, resolve conflict situations, write reports Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed Requirements: MUST be a resident of Canada for the last 5 years High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Must be 18 yrs + Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance Candidates must be available to work shift, including weekends Candidates must have strong clear command for the English language (both written and spoken) Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to handle stress well Bilingualism (English/French) an asset Experience in the security field an asset Criminal record check (Abstract) Basic Medical exam Terms of Employment: This is a permanent full time position Shift work, 40.0 hrs/wk guaranteed, wages progress after certifications, Start $15.34/hr ($12.94/hr + $2.40/hr retention bonus) Up to $17.33/hr ($14.93/hr + $2.40/hr retention bonus) * Certain conditions apply, such as, bonus is applicable in the first year of employment,MUST work the hours to be eligible for the bonus, paid out monthly. ** Maximum retention bonus total is $ 5,000.00.
