Microsoft Retail Specialist

We are currently seeking a Full Time Retail Specialist (Calgary). You will be responsible for the sales and merchandising of Microsoft products in consumer electronics retailers. You will be responsible for efficient and effective territory management, product training, communicating sales and display programs to retailers and merchandising standards during store visits.

Detailed Description

The role of the Field Specialist is to manage the execution of program initiatives (in accordance with the Client(s)’ objectives and CIM’s core values. There are 4 core functions in this role:

1.) Territory Sales Manager (Key Contact/Relationship Management)
2.) Merchandising and Promotional Execution
3.) Microsoft Ambassador (Communication of key messages and Collection of client insights)
4.) Data Collection

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

Ideal: College Diploma/University Graduate = Retail/Business Management or Computer Sciences

Relevant experience may be sufficient in lieu of studies.

SKILL:

Strong analytical skills – able to review results / situations, and determine follow-up action plans

Retail knowledge – merchandising concepts, POG, negotiation.

Strong planning and organizational skills in terms of time-management, training, reporting, multi-tasking, and attention to details

Strong negotiation skills working with retail partners

Solid interpersonal, communications and presentation skills with proven courage and effectiveness in delivering brand messages and collecting insightful feedback

Proven problem-solving skills with a sound sense of judgment around when to act directly and when to engage others in a professional, mature and responsible manner

A sense of urgency, commitment to quality, and ability to “run with it”

Adaptable and flexible – responsive to changing Program, Client and organizational needs and requirements
